WD Hydraulics Won't Release

Hello all! I am usually over in a few of the other forums, but I am helping a friend with his recently acquired WD. We installed a Paulson trip loader onto the
tractor, and the hydraulics seem to have a major issue. When the lever is in the 'up' or 'down' position, the hydraulics continue to raise and will not release.
Only way to keep it from raising is to press the clutch. Anyone have any ideas as to where I should start? My thought was a valve being stuck, but hydraulics
are something I have never ventured into before. Any help is appreciated! (Picture is of tractor).

There is an arm or lever under the right side of the hydraulic unit if it comes off its mounting stud it'll cause the hydraulics to do as you described. If that's it it'll be hanging down.

Check all the linkage to make sure it's free. Find the decal that should be on the battery box (Google is your friend) and set the pump accordingly.
