B engine serial number

I have a B with the tractor number B66187 which would make it 1944. The engine serial number is CR46374CA. Is the right engine serial number for a B engine. Also would someone explain putting a speedi sleeve over the front crank shaft. Do you leave the flange on it after installing? It seems simple enough but the more I read the more confused I get.

The CR is a replacement motor or came out of a stationary unit.. Not original.

The speedi sleeve can be pressed onto a shaft and the flange would go up against the step of the crankshaft ( inside the cover)... This is basically a stainless sleeve that is just a few thousandths thick. It is used to cover a damaged shaft, or a shaft that had an oil groove for a leather seal... The NEW rubber seal should spread a few thousandths and fit over the sleeve without problem.

After doing some research that is what I found out about the motor and I believe the GA at the end means it is gas. That would explain a few other things about the tractor. Thank you for your reply. I believe I have it figured out.
