I'm trying to get the Cylinder out of my AC 60A, but I can't for the life of me get it to slide out?? Something is holding me up on the belt drive end, it could very well be rust, but before I break something, I was wondering if anyone has any knowledge of taking one of these apart? A parts or service manual page or two would be fantastic too if anyone has one?? Thanks!! Bryce

Check out nnalert(dot)com go to tractor forum, scroll down to manuals/allis chalmers combines. there is a manual for 60 combine you can download

Bryce, I did that on my 40 a couple of years ago. It took me while to get all the bolts out.
I remember I welded the bolt heads on the pulley end when putting it back together so it would be easier to put it back in.
Take a look at this site. They helped me quite a bit. Nice folks to talk to on the phone.
Search under discussions or ask a question.

Bryce, Here you can see the bolts I welded to the flange to make it easier to bolt back in.

I did my 72 last year.

You may have missed a hidden bolt underneath or in back of the pulley. The pulley can stay on, but makes it heavier and harder to see what is sticking.

If you can crawl into the separator, you can use mallet/pry bar/choice of solvent to loosen.

Between the rust welding the weight of the cylinder, it will need some encouragement.
