Newly acquired WD

Just purchased a WD at an on line auction. I spoke with the seller. It will run, but starter is bad. He was switching it to a 12V system and got interrupted mid way. After it sat for a year, decided to part with it. I do not have a serial number yet. Will likely pick the machine up next Sunday.
At least two of the tires are flat.
Any pointers or advice will be appreciated.

Buy borrow or what ever a 12 volt compressor and air the tires up. Even if they only hold air for 15 minutes that goes a long way in loading one up. BTDT many, many times but my truck has a compressor under the hood. As for the starter I would test it by running a cable right to the start fro ma battery and see if it would spin over. If it does then hot wire it so you can drive it on. Also be sure to bring a battery and gas.

A tuned up WD will start so easy there is no need to modify the starter, been using a 12 v battery in mine for about 25 years. I don't even have a charging system, just charge the battery a couple times a year.

Hope your tires hold air.
