shim spacers

Many of the shim spacers used by AC have paper spacers in between the metal shims. Paper spacers are NLA. I know if you don't use something in place of the
paper it will seep oil. What paper would you use to to make your own? Any other solutions?

Lightly smear some RTV in-between each shim if you think you need the sealing. Tighten the bolts up to specs while RTV is still soft. Use RTV (or something else) on bolt threads to prevent oil seepage there too.

Paper cuts fairly easy to make paper spacers. I have just used copy paper to make the spacers. Before copy paper I used brown paper bags.
