What I did was built what I felt was the best of both worlds. The engine from a 190/200 Allis was one of, if not the best Allis ever built. The hand operated power director from the D series was bomb proof. So I installed the 2900 engine in the D-19 with very little work. I used the 190 axle with the steering cylinder and Charlynn steering motor. 190 live Hydraulic pump and 3pt. I did have to have a custom radiator built. Only big job was building a new front radiator support/front axle support. Tractor was my Granddad's and I grew up in the seat. Was a gas tractor and I never missed lunch using it. I had to head to the house at noon for more fuel. I bought the 19 from my uncle few years after Grandpa died. I couldnt find a good 262 diesel to bolt in so I started on the big swap. I would like to have a purpose for this tractor when I pull it out of the shop. Cutting or raking hay is the only jobs that I have for it. If I could haul poop with it in warm months she would have a important job to fill. Think I will have to hunt up a 7000 with power adjust rims and centers being parted out. Al
