Thinking about this to mow with, deck looks new. Anything i should know about a "ca"? I know the back tires are wrong but they would be good enough for a yard.

I can't get the picture to come up, but at 1 time I sure wanted 1, old pals of mine had several with wide fronts. Sure liked them better than MT JD or those darn 2-8-9 n fords I ran back in the 1960's. Old boy I hauled fuel to on the 1970's had two with wide fronts. We had many a pleasant conversation leaning on them talking about the good old days farming. Would like to have 1 with a Woods under mount mower to mow around here.

The rubber boot on AC shift levers of this vintage will leak water into the transmission if it is not in good condition and the tractor is left out in the weather. CAs are nice tractors though, an update on the B and C. Four speeds, spin out rears, and the hand clutch to "break" the rear axle. These aren't impossible to work on but you have to remove the final drive and axle housing to get to them and parts, as has been said, are a hassle. Just did the same clutch in the axle of a ED-40 last year.

Nice looking mower and tractor. The bad no hand clutch lever,no platform pan,no drive pulley on the PTO shaft for the mower.Probably had to take off the pan to make room for the pulley.
Overall a good mowing outfit for the cost of a cheapie lawn mower at Lowe's.

Very handy with the hand clutch giving you live power....if it has the clutch, make sure it works. Parts are hard to find, and not hard to spend $600 for the clutch. Some clutches have been bolted together when the discs went bad and don"t operate.
