power divider level check ?

Need help? Do you screw the dip stick in or rest it on the threads to get the correct level ? the difference is over one inch-Dan 1958 D-17 power divider

I don"t think the difference is over an inch...but.....why not buy the tractor op manual...no, it"s not a power divider. They are on trucks.

Always screwed it in. I did not see it in the manual .
It is a big difference, never thought about it before.

Like KY AC, I looked thru both the operator and service manual and found nothing on it. I have had equipment that did tell you to put the thread at the top of the hole but most say screw in to check.
I have been screwing the dipstick in on my D-17 ever since I've owned it.
