Lumbersawyer,

Rather than pull a wheel off in this cold of weather, I think maybe I have come up with an easier way to get the same measurements. I now have the rear measurements and the axle opening height and width. What I need is the front where it angles up.

So what if you measure from the rear lower sheet metal next to the rib, up over the top, to where it stops at the front angle iron piece. Then measure the top back to where the angle starts along the bottom, right behind where the belt pulley is, this can be done from the wheel side. Would that be easier?

I don't like this forum on how it handles pictures. Please call me. or send me your email. I post pictures all the time on snowmobile chat forums using photobucket, they don't seem to work here. 2183260028-2182592901

Here are pictures with the dimentions written on fender. i used a carpenter's square for a straight edge. measurements are to sheet metal not braceing. the measurements of the angle front brace is where the straight edge leaves the radius of the brace. The lenght of the fender is 6' 1/4" around the top.

I will try to get to this. After your first post it turned very cold here. I'm into vintage snowmobiles, so I go every Sat to ride my sleds. I have no trouble with taking the wheel off to get the measurements. Weather is better, so I'll try to get this done.

I am assuming this is a unstyled WF? If so when I did mine I used WC fenders and cut some off the front. I also had to reuse the inner steel pannel from the old fenders.
