Water Pump for Allis Chalmers C

What is the difference in the water pump for an Allis Chalmers C between one for a cast fan pulley and a stamped steel fan pulley?

The reason for asking is I think I got a stamped steel pulley, but the hub on the replacement water pump is about 1/8" too big diameter. The holes in both line up fine and both are star shaped. I have seen some water pumps for the Allis C where the hub is circular.

Maybe I just cannot tell the different between a stamped steel and a cast pulley, but it sure looks like a stamped steel pulley. It is a 1942 tractor (serial C12887)

Thanks

I never saw a cast iron water pump pulley.
The pressed one was used back on the 38 B.
If you look at it you will see hex nuts and slots to adjust it. This adjustment was used on the crank engines to tighten the belt (before generators).
There should be only 1 type pulley and 1 type pump hub. Bob

In the Steiner catalog they have a water pump for a B, IB, C, and CA, etc. Says "will not fit engiens w/cast pulley." So there must be some other kind of water pump. However, I have a steel pressed pulley and the water pump hub is too big for it. The holes match up, so I probably will just grind it down. The pump was made in Turkey...and they sent the wrong gasket for it...so I will make one.

Thanks

This afternoon I ground the hub down to fit the fan flange. Went easier than I thought. Also took the fan flange apart (little soaking in solvent and a little heat...and some pounding).
