D15 Series I I transmission

Has anyone ever rebuilt a transmission on a D15? I have mine torn down and see that I need to replace 2nd and 3rd gear on the pinion shaft. My question is that it looks like first gear on the pinion shaft is pressed onto the splined bushing. Is that correct?

Tore my 14 down and several 17's, but didn't notice low being pressed on. If you replace pinion shaft gears with after market ones, you will have to also replace the counter shaft matching gears too. The orig don't mesh right with aftermarket.
