Couple inches rearward of the carburetorwhere the motor meets the rest of the tractor. There is a flange on the motor, with the motor #, and an inch rearward on the tractor is the tractor #. Both numbers are on a sloping surface above where the flywheel resides.

Tractors are always left side based on the seat.
Number should be stamped vertically down the front of the torque tube just behind where it bolts to the block.
