d17 diersel ; bad head gasket

Ive found a D17 diesel with a bad head gasket, just wondering if its just the gasket or could be the head too ; wer,nt these prone to head cracking very easy ?

yes they did crack, but most guys dont pay attention to the cracks. Make sure you get the right head gasket they made several diferent thicknesses.

Most likely the engine block has corroded and let one of the piston liners sink. This is a common problem on the D17 Diesel. No cheap fix unless you are willing to do it yourself with some trial and error.
