200 ac starts and stalls

It starts runs a few seconds with heavy black smoke and dies. Got any suggestions. fixed some air leaks, replaced primer pump plunger. Haven't messed with it much otherwise

check that you are getting fuel flo at water separator and fuel filter. under my fuel tank is a right angle stop cock that will clog with dirt and debris. i blow it out from water separator back and it is aok. not sure what black smoke indicates but is significant. soap for leaks

Fuel gets to the filters good. It flows strong from the tank.

Did you just get this tractor, or did this just happen out of the blue?
What's the history?
I would unhook the piping going into the turbo., and maybe even open the exhaust side too, to make sure something isn't plugged. It needs to breath- both in and out!!

Oliver was doing that, took the fuel line off at the tank and cleaned years of sediment out of the bottom of the fuel tank, runs better, but I wish I had your 200.

Something's plugging the air intake. Remove the intake hose from the turbo, start it up and see what happens. Jim

I got it this way. I took the aircleaner out and its still smokes a lot. I think I'm drawing air somewhere. Ive seen blown head gaskets do funny things to though.

Check fuel return coming out of injection pump all the way back tank for obstructions,another thing to consider is injection pump flex ring is breaking apart pluging fuel return.Scott

It looks like the pump has been rebuilt double check timing.
