I have a Simplicity / Allis question

Hey;

I been doing much rehabbing on my 3416 H Simplicity and got a question, does burning a tank of gas in about an hour and a half sound right to you? I believe it is about a 2 gallon tank.

All the best

Kind of a silly question !!! What are you doing with it? If it is idleing then that is a lot of gas, if you are working it to full capacity then it is not. And it doesn't help to guess at size of fuel tank if it is a one gallon tank that is great economy, but if it is a three gallon tank it is horrible fuel economy. All in all a silly question, if it is running well, not leaking fuel, not fouling plugs then it is probably fine.

Hey gtski;

If you read the question I did a lot of setup on the tractor, including setting up the carb ,so it is a fair question. If you feel something is "silly" then don't waste your valuable time on it.
I always had great help from this forum for years...So am sure that I will get responses that are actually helpful

I'll stick with my "silly" answer. What you are doing with the machine makes all the difference in how much fuel it will use. You give NO information on use you don't know how much fuel it holds so I assume you also guessed on how much you used, did you time it or also guess at that. I saw nothing in your post about how much set up you did. Sorry if you're offended but you left to many things unsaid to give a reasonable answer, my play car will use 1 gallon of fuel in 10 seconds do you think that is reasonable?

I can see the others guys point. You need to fill in a lot of blanks. If you where running it at an idle and doing nothing with it yes that would be way to much fuel used but if you where say mowing 2 foot tall grass heck no that would be about right. Lack of info is your enemy on the forums and you sure did leave out a lot of info so fill in the blanks before you attack an answer since you gave us no clue to what when or where you where doing

I'm not familiar with your machine. If you are mulching it talkes lots more fuel. Dull blades and of course tall grass/weeds compound the problem.
