Hello everyone im wondering a few questions on a wd and wc chalmers tractor first off is the motors the same or differnt? 2nd will the wd motor bolt in the wc with out any issues? 3rd question Are the fenders and sheetmeatl the same on the wd and wc? Thanks in advance!

Both had the W201 engine, but the WD had a few more horses. It should bolt right up. Yes the sheet metal is the same I think. If it is different I can't tell how.

The WC and WD engines unless it is the unstyled WC are in fact one and the same engine. As for sheet metal most will fit either one but the WC fenders have an extra bracket on them but will still bolt on the WD. Also the WD45 engine will bolt into the WC and WD

Engines are identical and will swap no problems. The WC fenders have an extra bracket at the back side but WD fenders will bolt right up assuming it's a styled WC. The hoods are the same as long as the WC hood doesn't have the holes for a starter gas tank or the WD has power steering.

I swapped a WC engine out into a WD45 back about 1970.The Wd45 had a diesel in it when I got it but hired help ruined it and I had an old running WC so I took that engine and put it into the WD45 chassis. The Highschool hired help would stand on the brakes when discing plowed ground just to see the diesel smoke. It got hot and cracked the head.

If you want the real truth....here it is. Both WC and WD use the same 201 engine- bolts into either, gov spring is different on the WD, giving it more rpm....more hp. Fenders are different. Clamshell fenders are similar but mounting brackets are way different. Other styled sheet metal, yeah, the same.
