Part number for Internally Ballasted Coil on WC

Good Morning, Our 41 Allis WC repair-refurbishment continues. Getting ready to fire her up for 1st time in 20+ years. Was wondering about a coil. It has a distributer ignition on it and we're in the process of converting to 12 volts. I want to get a new coil. Do I need an internally ballasted coil,(currently no external ballast resistor)and if so would anyone have napa-autovalue part number for the
correct coil? Thanks to all, Tom

you need a "12 volt coil", that says "no external resistor needed"... dont need a part number, just walk into NAPA and tell them.

Delco U515 or NAPA 14IC should do the job.
Talk to the dealer you buy them from to be sure.

Thanks too all, our local Auto Value(used to be NAPA) Has a couple of college kids and a nice older lady that can maybe cut a key but thats about it. If you go in without a number to start from, they have NO idea where to even begin!

You can call John Brillman at the Brillman Company and tell him what you want and he"ll send you one that way you don"t have to talk to people at your store. Ask him to send you one of his tractor electrical catalogs too.
