bearing crush

I pulled pan off my wd45 due to oil leal. The engine was rebuilt and has several hours on it. I know now the rear main crush was set to tight. The shell still looks great and clearance in middle of spec. Since the engine has hours on rebuild should I file shell to obtain correct crush or leave it alone?
DickL would you please give your advice or someone who has a lot of exp. with shims.

If you have .002 to .003 and the crankshaft is not dragging from the crush then I would leave it alone.
The only time you need to file is when the bearing crush has caused the bearing halves to pinch in at the ends and press on the crankshaft which causes the crankshaft to bind on the bearings while still having the proper plastigage reading or a greater reading.
