Use Red Kote and follow directions.

i used this kit when i coated my wd tank. I followed the directions exactly last winter and i havent had a problem yet. it is very time consuming if you follow the directions. I think it may have been worth it to take the tank to a radiator repair shop and have it done there. some shops will do it for between $100-150.
