you might also check with a local machinist shop or rebuilder of auto parts. Most water pumps can be taken apart and a new mechanical seal installed. The bearing might be reusable as is. Seals are generic by size and would not need to know the manufacturer of the pump.

After looking at a few pictures via Google, I thought maybe it was a FD5.0 which should have been equipped with a Perkins P4 engine.
However all the FD5.0 had frame rails each side of the engine. This one does not, which makes be think it has been repowered with something other than an original A-C supplied engine.
I suggest removing the sheet metal and take pictures of the engine from various angles.

FD3 should have a Perkins engine, model 4.99 if it is liquid-cooled. They also used a 2-cylinder Vendeuvre 2-cylinder engine, but that is obviously not what you have.
Perkins parts should be available.

Jean,

I would bet you have an FD-4 or FD-5.
The engine does not appear to match the D12 Diesel sold in the US based on Oil and air filter placement, and exhaust manifold differences. AC had manufacturing facilities in France at that time, and may have built a different design than the US models. Someone please correct me if you have information to the contrary. That would locating parts very easy.

Hopefully someone else will have more knowledge on the European models.

If there is any change that minor parts were interchanged, casting numbers may determine that. The chance seems remote though.

Thanks,

Chris

If you have more pictures, of the sides of the motor, and the top, with the hood off, perhaps someone can identify the motor. If your water pump is complete, and not leaking, there may be a way around the problem. Some of the hot rod guys, use an electric water pump, that goes in place of a water hose, but there are some size and shape of hose restrictions, on those. I would have to see the water pump in question, and how it fits, on the motor, before saying more.

Today's Featured Article - On the Road with Dave Gohl: Deere Departed Friend - by Dave Gohl. Have you ever had to part with a dear friend? It's not easy. If it's due to death, your feelings could be in disarray for days, months or even years. Even now after almost 4 years, I still miss my dad. I remember when I was a kid my dad sometimes would tuck my brother and I in at night and we would ask him questions about his childhood on the farm. To this day, it's some of the best stories I've ever heard. And now, I'm so glad that I asked those questions, and if I were a little smarter i ... [Read Article]
