what works to keep cap from leaking , one side leaks the other is fine for now. I was thinking a bead of gasket sealer or something similar. any good ideas for me. thanks again,Jim

Gasket cement works well.

i clean it all up with a solvent rag, dry, then put a bead of RTV around the OD of the cup and pound it into the hole. wipe the excess with your finger to fillet the bead.
