does anyone know the best tool to use to remove the snap ring inside the housing that you cant see?

About thirty years ago, before I could afford the correct snap ring pliers, I laid underneath the housing with two long screwdrivers to get the job done.

Sometimes it is easiest to put enough Heat on the snap-ring to take the Temper out of it first..
Be sure to install New snap-rings...

Ill give it a shot thank you. Do you know what kind of snap ring pliers to use all of the 90 degree pliers are way to short in the depth department.

never mind i couldnt get the axle out before i thought that snap ring holding the race was keeping the axle in but i put a little more pressure on the axle and the seal held it in place. So thanks for all the help anyway!
