AC 5050

Anyone have any experience with an AC5050 2wd with loader tractor. I'm looking at one that needs a clutch and some TLC, but do they hold up to the rigors of handling a loader? Thanks

i have owned a 5050 two wheel drive with loader for about 30 years. Great rig, not too long for maneuvering in tight places, and other than normal maintenance only needed to rebuild the starter

Just be aware that tractor is a Fiat. I assume that as with my Fiat(Allis) bulldozer, now that New Holland is Fiat, parts are more readily available than ever.

If my imformation is right, Oliver 1365 is the same tractor. Neighbors got 3 of them. Bought one new in 74. Front wheel assist w/loader. Bought another one 4 or 5 years ago. Same tractor w/loader. Bought 3rd one a year ago. 2 wheel drive. Claims to really like them. Said he has'nt needed any parts yet he could'nt get from AGCO dealer.

Thanks for the feedback. How difficult is it to replace the brake bands.. If they are bands then I suspect they don't run in oil. Where are they located... I don't have a shop manual... still just looking.
