My boys has a key. There are 3 holes in the (dash)? 2 are around 1/2in and one is 1in. What went in those holes besides what activated the starter. Was it a key or button. If button was it black or silver, metal or rubber? Thanks guys.

Per the AC parts book. Tractors SN 136317 and lower used a push pull mag kill switch. SN 136318 and up used a key switch and a distributor. Left hole is for the light switch, right hole is for push pull or key switch.

Will Somebody tell me, IF the WD came out with a key switch or not, My boys has got a key switch on it. I dont know if it origionally HAD a key switch, or if somebody just put that on it.

NOW, as I understand what somma uve been saying. One of the smaller holes in the dash was for the light switch, and one was for the kill switch on the mag. AM I RIGHT ON THAT PART????? Thanks.

No one has, as yet, stated that the WD came out with a key switch instead of a push button starter switch. The push pull switch is for the lights and mag also, I thought. Its a 2 or 3 way switch. Will someone tell me what went in each of the 2 little holes and what went into the big hole on the (dash)??

If this one has a "Key", you do need to look it over and see what all has been changed on that WD.. Originally, the WD had NO Key, only the Push-Pull switch for "Run" or "Off".... Does it still have a 6 Volt Battery, Positive Ground..? Many have been converted to Negative Ground and 12 Volts.. You need to know which it is..!! Ron.

the original light switch had a resistor to ground that was connected to the "F" terminal on the generator. This made the generator charge at different rates if the lights were on, or off. There is no voltage regulator or current regulator on a 6 volt system.

Yes its got the 2 starter and choke rods on it, but the (dash)? I mentioned, is laying loose. I bought a push pull switch for it It has a key switch on it. What is a generator cutout on top?

forgot about the ground for the mag, it's a momentary on some i've seen. and the light switch isn't really the cut out for the generator, but it controls high/low charge.

a WD will have the resistor light switch and a push pull grounding switch for the magneto in the dash box. The cutout is on top of the gennerator. Great little tractor. Bob

Today's Featured Article - Bad Vibes - by Curtis Von Fange. One of the strangest ways to communicate with our tractor is to ask it how it feels. "Ask it how it feels," you say? Yup, ask it how it feels. Now, as with the other articles in this series one has to be able to hear what 'ole blue' is trying to say in response. The nice thing about our old iron friends is that they are usually quite consistent in their response, rather unlike some people I know who might change what they say due to the weather or other mitigating circumstances. But since t ... [Read Article]
