You guys helped me out a few weeks back with my C that had a jumping timing mark and was also missing real bad. But I am still having some issues.
In my previous post, I had already changed cap, rotor, coil, condensor, plugs, wires, points, and made sure the distributor bearings were okay. I cleaned the distributor weights and lubed them up and the timing mark seems to be a lot more stable.
It runs fine at idle, and even gets up to speed okay, but it will eventually just start missing and stall. As soon as it stalls, I can start it right back up but it will stall again.
I was worried I got a bad set of points or condensor so I took brand new known good ones off my other C and put them on. I was manually opening and closing the point gap and I noticed that the first spark is really hot, but each time I opened and closed it the spark got a little weaker. There was always spark but it just seemed too weak. Could it be breaking down under load? Is so, why?
Any other thoughts? Thanks a ton!
