Back about 1950 when I was a juvenile, dad bought me a Remington model 67-22 smooth bore rifle and a box of shot shells. My job was to go out every evening and clean the sparrows out of the quonset hangar. I still have the rifle and use it occasionally.

See if you have any dog trainers in the area. They may even pay for the birds. Advertise on Craigslist.

I use Super Colibri for indoor pigeon shooting. It won't punch through tin. Aguilla is the only company I know that makes it. Not supposed to use it in a long gun though, especially a semi-auto.
