Settings for Allis 40 combine

Just wondering if anyone had any info on concave settings for a model 40 combine. Gonna take down some winter rye for the local museum, I'm pretty sure it's set on oats but I don't know. This is the first time I've seen it run so it'll be trial and error. I dought if anyone has a book either around here but I'll see if anyone local remembers how. Thanks for any info.

Got books on 60's & 66's down at the farm but not sure their the same

Ok. That'd be something I could find out cause there was a lot of 60s around here. Be easier to find a book on them.

the settings are basically the same as for the 60 or 66. just need to adjust the chaffer and sieve for the grain.

Per 40 Operator"s Manual settings for wheat are:
cylider speed 1400-1600
# concaves 1-2
shelling plate clerance 5/16-1/2
concave clerance 5/16-1/2
chaffer 2/3 open
adjustable sive 1/3 open
air valves 1/2 open

Thanks for the help guys. Seemed to work pretty good after we did some more tinkering. Unit's pretty sound. Now just gotta find a book.
