Was out raking hay when the tractor stop run.
There is alot of gas coming out and fill the hose to the breather. tried tapping on the carb thinking maybe it"s the float sticking. Carb was rebuilt last year ran all winter and no problem. Worked fine for cutting. was run Hot on the temp. gauage.
Any tips on what"s going on?

Could be as simple as a bit of dirt of rust in the needle seat keeping the float form being able to stop the flow of gas. Or a bad float which can happen all at once. Could also be as simple as a dirt dubber nest in the air cleaner so it is choking the engine and that would cause a problem. I would start by shutting the gas off. Pull the drain plug from the bottom of the carb. Rig up a way to catch the gas and then turn the gas on and let it flow a few minutes so as to clear out any dirt/rust that maybe causing the problem and also check the air cleaner

thanks but i got it going by turning the main adjustment close then opening it 1 turn and it started.
