D19 Diesel Not on my favorites list

I have always been a lover of Allis Chalmers Tractors and never have found them to be hard to work on......until now. I went to do a clutch job on the D19 Diesel and I split the tractor in half and took everything out, but I also wanted to replace the rear main seal that goes into that adapter plate. To do that, you need to remove the oil pan. No biggy or so I thought. To remove the oil pan you got to take the front end loose and move the front support out of the way in order to get to the bolts on the oil pan. So that means I've got to put the tractor 1/2's back together and then use the hoist for the front end just to get the pan off. What an aggrivation.

I hear you ; I often ask myself - who thought that was a good idea ? Check that bushing in the front housing block for the front pin ; I do alot of 180,s 190,s etc ; can do them without removing the front , but its aggrivating
