D17 Decals and gas gauge

Have 1963 D17 series 3. Going to slick up and put new decals on,but dont know witch set to buy from yesterday tractor.Mine has a silver D17 decal on it now. Also cant find a gas gauge or price for one.Thanks for any info.
 
I need a gas gauge too for my D17. I see used ones on ebay that go for around 80 bucks. I see NOS gauges where they want 90 for them.

For now, I just stick a T shaped metal rod in there to judge the gas level. Sometimes I keep a gallon of gas in the fender mounted toolbox if I'm driving in to town (just in case I run out).
 
I have a post asking about the decals on page three right now. D15Dan gave the following
"it depends on the SN. If yours is prior to #24001 then you have the correct decals."

He is refering to the silver decal prior to 24001. Black lettering on White background after that serial number.
 
My D17 series 3 serial # is 65041.It has a silver D17 decal on the front radiator side,but the hood side is black lettering on white background with a silver/grey 1/4 in. pin stripe around it.Need to know where to find the right one. Thanks DB.
 
I did a quick search and found that external_link has the decals for your tractor. I think many other sites have them also. Just do an internet search for D17 decals. As long as you know which ones you need to get you should be able to find them. Good luck.
