190 brake question

friend of mine pulled the brakes from his 190, had them rebuilt, heard that there is a difference which way they go back in, anybody know for sure?.

I can't tell you anything for sure. Seems if I remember right some of those type disc assemblies had the same diameter wear surface on both sides, and some didn't. If they are the same, it makes no difference. If they are different, then they should be matched up to the steel surface they are going against.
