Iam looking at buying a 7000 ac and am wondering about how much fuel this tractor burns per hr pulling a disc or plowing

do a google search: "nebraska test 7000 allis chalmers."

it will yeild this link:
http://digitalcommons.unl.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=2566&context=tractormuseumlit

the test results will appear and you can see various fuel consumption scenarios. If you have a different optioned tractor than the link I gave try modifying the google search terms.

ps looks like you should put brand name before model. and another source of tractor info is external_link.
7000 test

Also want to add, when you are reading those tests, "gallons per hour" is not the whole story. "Horsepower Gallons per hour" is important to consider as well. You want as many Horsepower-Hours per gallon as you can. For Example, A 60 horse tractor at 7 gallon an hour and a 120 horse at 7 gallon an hour are not equally efficient, the 120 horse in the example will be making more horsepower per gallon in a given period of time. The math involved would also be able to show at what point you are wasting fuel with a big tractor on a small job...

That's all I have for now

The 7000 has the 301 and they are great on fuel ; heavy hard pulling maybe 8 gallons an hour , but you can turn alot of dirt in an hour
