190xt problem

I am looking at buying a 190xt with a problem, it pumps the trans/hydraulic fluid into the rear axle is this a common problem? If not common does anyone know what would cause this?

This is a problem with the seal on the output shaft from the power director/input shaft to the transmission. It is not a hard fix but does require the tractor be split between the transmission and torque tube. Easiest way is to roll the transmission back on the rear wheel and support the torque tube with a stand. The drain hole under the seal can be drilled out to a larger size, I think 3/8 if not already done. Make sure the power director is working properly (not slipping) before you split it to change the seal as you will have to do it again to fix the PD.
