A-C Paint Color

I am trying to find a paint for my race car. I like one of the A-C Orange colors I found at Ace Hardware but it is enamel and I want to use urethane. I also got some at Tractor Supply but it was too light (too orangy) wheras the Ace was more reddish. Can someone tell me which of the four standard A-C colors is the most reddish and where I can get some urethane in that color. Thanks much in advance.

From Wendel's book, page 287: Green: Martin Seynour 90T11511, Red (for wheels) M-S 99N4359, Orange, through 1960, M-S 90T3723, Orange, 1961&later, American Parts 1204-6.

The paint that you found at Ace is probably "Corporate Orange", which was the last color AC used. I don't know the formula for it but it is the easiest to find. Bob

Take a sample of the paint you want to a Auto Parts Store that mixes paint and they will mix it in urethane. They get the codes from your sample.

Here's Rod's web site for PPG paint codes for most tractors. You can get it in single stage or clear coat. Hal
