I need a copy of how the rear end of a ca the 3 point hand the hydro works and where i can find parts and gaskets

The CA never had a 3 point hitch from the factory. The hydraulics require the PTO to be engaged to work. There is a dipstick on the left side near where your heel would be sitting on the tractor. Universal tractor hydraulic fluid works fine and is recommended. Parts are easy to get. Tune up parts can be had at most any auto parts store. If you need anything else, google Sandy Lake Implement. You will look a long way before you find folks that are as helpful and really want your business as they do. I've bought most everything I've needed for a D17 restoration from them.

I just bought a CA today. Runs perfect and PTO works but 3 pt hitch does not, even with PTO engaged. Will change fluid tomorrow as level is low and dirty anyway. Anything else that may prevent it from working? Also, if the CA did not have 3 pth from factory, why does it have hydraulic pump?
