WD won.t start hot

MY WD pops off great cold, but won't restart hot. Barely Turns over when I try to restart. Almost new battery, tuned up recently.

Sounds like a timing problem. If this started after the tune up check the points gap, distributor timing and spark plug gap.

Turns over hard when hot is either timing to far advanced. Point gap wrong or a starter going bad

Ihave the same problem on WD45. I check timing with light. The F mark on fly wheel is right where it should be. Spark plugs are gapped good. Will check the points, but not sure about starter. Rolls good cold, but engine barely turns hot?

A lot of times when hot a starter will bind up where as when cold it will spin just fine. That back in the day of headers caused big time problems with the hot rods of the 60s and they had to re-do many a header and or add heat shields so as to keep from smoking starters because of over heating

If it has the magneto, not converted to the distributor, the magneto could need a rebuild. Try pull starting it when hot- if it starts easily, it"s the mag.

Try checking the coil. Sometimes they short on the inside and get really hot. Could cause your no running or no starting condition when its hot.
