D-19, D-17 Serial # question

Hi, I am having problems locating the serial numbers on a AC D-19 and D-17. The numbers are at the front of the torque housing on the left side. Please guide a rookie in the right direction to find these. Thanks!

On a D19 it is on the rear housing behind the seat. Given the carb is on the other side on a D19 I would say the picture is of a D17 and thats where the s/n should be.

Thank you so much for the information! I was for sure able to find the D-17 serial number. That was well hidden!

On the D-19 I was able to find 2 stamped numbers (one above the other) on the lower right side on the rear housing behind the seat. The first number was 4212. The one below it is 7.841. Should I be finding a serial # that starts D19, or did they do this model different? Thanks so much again for your assistance.
