After engine is on top dead center is there a sequence to adjust the valves. Is the best way to adjust each cylinder on top dead center? Thanks for all your help Joe.

Counting from the radiator with No1 piston at TDC on the compression stroke adjust valves
1-2-3 & 5. Then rotate the engine one full turn and then adjust valves 4-6-7 & 8. Hal

I'm no expert by far but my book is for a 4 cyl AC engine with firing order 1243 and it states to place #1 piston at TDC and adjust the valves .010 on #'s 1, 2, 4, & 6 then rotate it one complete turn till #4 is TDC then adjust the valves #"s 3,5,7 & 8 Then check again after you have tightened the nut.
