What plugs, Allis B?

Funny you ask. I just put a set of Auto light 437 in my C yesterday. Good hot plug that is not real bad about fouling out

In a tractor you do not want a resister plug it causes more problems then worth and if you have a mag it can in fact cause the coil to burn out faster. Non-resister plugs ONLY in tractors

the autolite 295 is the standard plug for the mag tractors. It is not extra hot. the 303 or 306 resistor plugs work good if you have a distributor, but not a mag.

Hey Old;

Is that Autolight 437 a hotter plug and NON- resistor in that line, than the 295? Asking as I don"t want to tear up the B"s engine of course.

thanx

Good plug that is non resister and hot but not so hot as to cause problems. Been using them for years in a good many engines

Hey old;

While we"re at it, do you use any kind of motor honey in your oil on these or straight 30W Non_ Detergent? The engine compression in the B is 90 in 1 & 2 and 110 in 3 & 4 with a steady 19 on the vacuum gauge.

appreciate your good help

I run a straight 30W detergent oil in all my tractors and cars etc. Makes it easy to have what you need on hand and works well in all of them

Hey Old;

I checked compresson and got 80 PSI on 1 & 2. 110 on 3 & 4. When I squirt oil in # 1 & 2 this brings it up to 110. Suppose that rings will make this engine good ? And would you think of doing this work in frame, without splitting the tractor? io do have a hone.
thanx

I would first check the valves on #1 and 2 looks like you may have a problem with the valves not thr rings
