wd 45 hydralic oil

anyone know what type oil i need to use for the hydralics on a wd 45

I think the manual calls for non-detergent SAE 20 weight.

You can use universal hydraulic fluid instead. I just put a new pump on mine and filled it with John Deere Hy-Gaurd. The pump is pretty forgiving, just so long as the oil doesn't have detergent in it.

I used non detergent 20W. The non-detergent part is important. You do not want this fluid to foam.

Non-detergent 20w motor oil works fine.

Ours have had same oil as the Engine since New...

i have a wd 45 it seems to be leaking fluid at the clutch throw out lever. i guess i am calling it correctly is this differential fluid or hydralic fluid, it leaks while sitting doesn't have to be running. any additives i can try or how do i replace seal if any??
