WD45 Oil Filter Base

My 53 WD oil filter base has a small tube that runs up into the filter about 4". Should a 45 have a tube like that also?

Yes. Sometimes they get thrown away with the filter.

Yep and if it is not there the oil pressure will go bye bye also

That explains why the valves were not oiling when I brought it home. I put a temporary plug over the hole feeding the filter and oil now flows to the valve train like it shoule. Gonna have to figure out how to make a tube...got some small copper and stainless tubing.....tx for info.....RP

I would all most bet I have one of those. I pulled a WD45 engine out of my W Speed Patrol a few years ago and it is laying in my shop. E-mail is open as always
