Considering buying some tractors to save from scrappers....curious about weight differences between similar models. Model C/CA, 2200/2850 lbs. WC/RC, 3300/4005. WD/WD45, 3388/4465. All are no ballast, except the WD45= shipping weight. Especially note the RC, with the WC frame and C engine, smaller rears, weighs 700 lbs MORE! All info from Dean"s book AC Tractors & Crawlers. Are some castings that much thicker on later versions to allow for the weight difference, along with diff in larger rear wheels, or is the data wrong?
