logsplitter

I have a wd45 and would like to know if it is possible to put a regular 3-point log splitter on my wd45 since it only has single hydraulics.

It is possible if you add some equipment to provide a two-way valve and a return line. But...it is a high pressure, low volume system, and needs a cylinder that can handle the pressure. Better to add a separate low pressure pump that matches the splitter, or for economy sake, get a splitter with its own engine and pump. Likely to take less fuel.

I have a 3 pt splitter I've been running off a D19. Also has a low volume, high pressure system. It's slow, takes 20 seconds to cycle each way. The good news is, I haven't found anything it won't go through.

I'm thinking about a PTO driven pump.
