I have a G, but is in a remote area, and a friend that is trying to time his G.

I can't seem to find what is no 1 cylinder, but assume it is the rear of of tractor.

Turn engine until # 1 is AT TOP DEAD CENTER ON COMPRESSION STROKE. THE TIMING MARK ON THE FAN PULLY IS LOCATED IN THE CENTER OF THE TIMING INSPECTION OPENING DIRECTLY BELOW CRANK SUPPORT IN THE HOOD SUPPORT. HOLD THE DISTRIBUTOR WITH THE COIL WIRE TERMINAL POINTING TOWARD #1 PLUG AND THE ROTOR POINTING TOWARD THE CLIP FAREST FROM TERMINAL. CLAMP DISTRIBUTOR SECURELY. THIS SHOULD BE IN TIME. PLACE 3 2 1 PLUG WIRE. YOU SHOULD BE READY TO RUN.
