I have a 57 B with the bow axle.I think i read on this forum that the 8n ford spindle bushings are correct fit for the B and are much cheaper. Can anyone confirm this? Also, the spindles are in poor shape w/excessive wear top and bottom. If someone has some in good condition please email. Thanks

I also used the Ford bushings from this site on my 1950 B and were a perfect match.

The Ford bushings are steel with a bronze liner on the inside. AC used to have solid bronze bushings, but they, too, now only have the steel bushings with the bronze liner. As stated, they are interchangable.

Yes Ford has steel ones that cost way less and will fit.

Today's Featured Article - The Nuts and Bolts of Fasteners - Part 2 - by Curtis Von Fange. In our previous article we discussed capscrews, bolts, and nuts along with their relative hardness and thread sizes. In this segment we will finish up on our fasteners and then work with ways to keep them from loosening up in the field. Capscrews, bolts and nuts are not the only means of holding two parts together. When dealing with thinner metals like sheet tin, a long bolt and ... [Read Article]
