Brother has a model c and wants to change the hydraulic oil and was wondering what type to use in it and is the trans and hyd both the same? Thanks for any help.

Trans/hyds/rear end all one in the same. If I remember right there are 3 drain but only one fill point. I my self use UTF in my Cs now days. Works well and when you have more then one tractor it is nice to not worry about 3 or 4 different oils for them

My C had three drain plugs, one fill and one level plug. The drains were kind of close together, it seemed to me.

yes, three pipe plugs on the bottom for trans, differential, and hydraulic/pto. drain all 3. refill by left foot on trans case. takes 8 quarts of universal tractor fluid--- or hytrans.
