Allis Chalmers Model B

A good friend of mine has a AC Model B but we are not sure of the year it has no starter or place for it the serial # is B7297 so is it a 1937 or 1938, Thanks.

IT is a 38. The 37 had a WAK motor, 38 started the Allis BE with 116 inch displacement, about 1940 it was upped to 125 inch and called a CE motor. SErial number of motor is on left side motor, flywheel bolt area.

The Serial Number is located on top of transmission case, to the rear of the shift lever

On the early BE engine the serial # is at the rear of the engine, in the center, under the gas tank, above the torque tube flange. The later CE engine had it on the side flange near the air filter. Bob
