I Have a d14 that began cutting out when you turned uphill.I cleaned the fuel tank, fuel line, fuel bowl and screen.I also rebuilt the carb. This helped for a while but it started again so I replace the points, plugs, wires and coil. This also helped for awhile but it began cutting out even on level ground. In March of 2009 I rebuilt the engine and put a new carb on it.It ran well all year and never missed 1 time until september. It began cutting out again. It Idles fine but when I put it under load it cuts out and dies.Does anyone have any ideas?I am out of ideas.

This time of year in our area you always have to think moisture in the gas. I don't know to what extent you went to in cleaning the tank but it is easy to miss some scale that will later break loose and get into the system. System means every part starting with the seditment bowl, all the way to the fuel jets in the carburetor.

Try taking the sediment bowl assembly of the gas tank and make sure the inlet is clean.
When you run on side hills and up hills with not much gas in the tank you will have that problem. Gas goes to the side of the tank or the back of the tank and the outlet hole is dry.
If you have a high speed adjustment on the carburetor try opening it a little.
