serial # U2512 allis chalmers

my brother has a allis chalmers, when he purchased it he was told it was a model UC, made in 1936. the only numbers we can find on it are U 2512 located by the gearshift lever. according to all the pictures on this website it looks like a uc, the front wheels are close together, and everything looks like a UC. were there any model U's made with the wheels close together and no chassis? if anyone has any pictures of a model U with the wheels close together please e-mail them to me. thanks john

The tractor my brother has is identical to the uc picture. we have looked all around the rear of the tractor next to the pto plate, but haven't found any numbers at all. thanks for the pictures. I should hav some pictures of this tractor next week, i will post them as soon as i get them. thanks for the reply John
