G2 Is a prototype.

The Allis Chalmers G2 was made by Simplicity. Go to the Simply Allis site and you can get info on that.
The G you have pictured is serial number 2. Not the same as a G2

You have GG 2. Which probably means that there is another G 2 somewhere else. It is NOT a prototype tractor. The only prototype was Ser. No. 1. The man that owns this tractor has all the proof on paper from the Co. All you have to do is compare your tractor to the other G's.

Clayton, since yours is one of the ones that never left the factory (as a retail sale,) the price is really what ever the market will bear, As you know #6 sold at the show, so that should give you a starting point as to what it might bring. As a G lover and owner of 4 I don't think I would be able to part with it. JMHO

You should have taken the 20 big ones you were offered at the show. I can't imagine that tractor bringing half that from anyone else. Especially with that red paint that was poured all over it.

I was told by a friend that you were offered a real good price for the tractor. I can"t imagine that tractor being worth that much. If you are selling, you should have sold it at the show when you got that offer. I think that was an exceptional offer that may not be matched by anyone else. Of course that is my opinion after buying, selling, trading, restoring and watching tractors sold at collectors auctions over the past 20 years. There is always an exception and that offer you got, truly was an exception.
Hope that helps.
